not that i needed another watch, i love my movado and burberry watches but this watch was really too good of a deal to pass up! can't wait i should have it shortly! good thing i didn't run off to oak brook like i planned on! whew!

guess i will be calling my insurance agent shortly to add the watch to my personal articles policy! yippee!!! it's a small premium to pay, but in the event of a loss it's worth having --- believe me!

as if the tragedy at fort hood wasn't enough, right! some psycho went on a shooting rampage in a dowtown orlando office building this morning ...SERIOUSLY!! sad thing he is still on the run! the office building is located downtown across from the Sheraton. very sad, i hope they catch this psycho and soon!!

curious....am i the only person who reads the obit section in my hometown paper? not sure why, but i have been doing this for years. can't explain why, i just do it!

i also read the births, engagement and wedding sections in my hometown paper too.

curious if anyone else is guilty of checking out the obit section? come on, be honest! ;)

i know it's early, but i took these photos last year and wanted to share them with you all again. someone wanted to be the 1st to wish you a happy halloween! hee! hee!

i was actually going to buy another outfit, but they don't go over very well with cats! if i had a dog, well that's another story.

so for now, this is what my cat really thinks about this lobster outfit, ha! ha!
friday, also known as devil's night for those of you in the midwest or michigan or even more specific metro detroit....ha! ha! well, that evening mr. PLD and i will be going out for lobster! can't wait.....oh, and some calamari too! YUMMY!

hopefully we will get TONS of kids on saturday! i have tons of candy to give out, serious overload! ha! ha! if only we were back in grosse pointe - no problem, after all the detroit kids venture into grosse pointe in van loads. it was great, but the end of the evening i was giving out fistfulls worth of candy....but here, well that's another story....come little kiddies, come trick or treat!

i am so tempted to purchase the following set of dinnerware from villeroy & bach called petite fleur. i have loved this set for a long time, but never wanted dinnerware with a pattern on it. okay, one exception my holiday dinnerware which is spode christmas tree.

oh decisions! decisions! decisions!!!! i have williams-sonoma brasserie in white, williams sonoma - ops, can't think of the pattern at the moment but the color is cornflower blue [UPDATE: it's from the belvedere collection, i knew i would eventually remember ;) ] and then there is my china - lenox federal platinum. i love the simplicity of solid dinnerware which can be dressed up with tablecloths, etc.

i really don't need another set of dinnerware but it's on sale for a really good price at rue la la! i have it sitting in my basket but can't decide.......UGH!!!

tomorrow rue la la is having their waterford event. i am hoping for some good items there, so we shall see.....UGH!!!

ahhhh, the signs of fall!!!

i just wonder how long they will last? i might just try this when i get home.i will try and post photos of the all the fall foliage, but i can't guarantee the quality of the images. my t-mobile G1 camera quality is good up close but photos from a distance aren't so hot! so we shall see....

at least the sun is out right now! hard to believe SNOW is forecasted within the next couple of days. not that it will amount to much, but it's always that 1st snowfall that quickly reminds us that summer is over and that trips to florida or some place warm are in the works! ha! ha!

oh well, tomorrow we head back to the windy city. have a great weekend!

it's a tad bit chilly out, but the sun helps! anyway, this morning i picked up a lilly pulitzer mug - perfect for some hot chocolate or tea! i was going to get the one with blue, but decided on the traditional pick & green instead. shocking b/c everything i have is navy, not really but it should! ha! ha!

can't wait to shop at burch run tomorrow! hoping to find some good deals at the north face, ralph lauren and pottery barn outlets! just like any discount store it's hit or miss! i am hoping since this is a holiday weekend the stores will be pretty stocked up!

normally we drive through grand rapids from chicago, but seeing that i am in grosse pointe we will be heading up 75, which means a trip to burch run! gotta love that it will be just my mom, brother and me. my dad is already up at the cottage and my husband will be driving up from chicago on friday...................so NO TIME CONTRAINTS, LOVE IT!!!

i don't know about you, but when we travel my husband HATES stopping at the outlets! it sucks, normally her gives me 30 mins. - come on, what can one do in 30 mins! ha! ha! however, i can't really complain since the outlets in aurora, illinois aren't too far away and i can go there pretty much whenever! then again, there's always michigan avenue! ha! ha!

pardon the dust...

greetings from grosse pointe, michigan. i am visiting my parents for a few days and then we are heading up north to the cottage for the weekend, actually leaving tomorrow. let's hope the weather holds out! it's actually sunny out right now, but who knows how long that will last? ha! ha!

starbucks is calling my name on this somewhat chilly morning! it won't be too long until winter coats are necessary. luckily i packed to of my favorite lightweight jackets my burberry and barbour quilted jackets. of course, both are black although my barbour could pass as a dark navy in my eyes. ha! ha! i might just have to call my husband and have him bring up a winter coat since the high for sunday will be a whopping 48 degrees. yikes!! who knows, maybe on our way up to burch run i will find something at the north face outlet? ha! ha! only time will tell...

oh, just to let you know i am revamping my blog. I deleted all my old posts and have decided to start fresh.
