nothing beats "retail therapy" ~ HA! HA!

ahhhhhhh...nothing beats a little "retail therapy" and a chai from nordstrom's!!!

.....in PLD eyes anyway! ha! ha!

despite the HOT & HUMID weather, PLD headed over to oak brook for some retail therapy! man, it was a hot one.... oh, before i forget...i wanted to share the photo below with you. does anything look out of place to you? LOL....i was like, did i just see a ______ --- looked back, sure enough! WTF!!! HA! HA! just when you thought you've seen everything! HEE! HEE!

so i bought a pair of black tory burch reva's over at nordstrom's. YIPPEE!!!!

i bought pair like the shoe above. i wanted them in silver, but they only had my size in gold in stock! so now i have to wait 4-5 days for my reva's too arrive....can't wait!! best of all they were on SALE!

i also picked up a tank top and cardigan sweater over at talbot's, as well as a beach tote [i have been eyeing all summer!!!] over at restoration hardware. once again.....everything was on SALE! seriously, who doesn't love a good SALE?!?!? PLD certainly does! HA! HA!

then it was time to head over to braxton's seafood grill for some lobster and calamari. however, i ended up having the BEST lobster tamale EVER, along with a lobster. YUMMY!!!!

see this evening my husband i and were suppose to go out for lobster at braxton's and head up to lake geneva, wi for the weekend. well, our plans didn't turn out that way! BOO! my husband was in indianapolis for work and had a big meeting this afternoon. so tomorrow we will go up to lake geneva instead.

as you can tell, i didn't let that get in my way having my lobster! HA! HA! plus, it turns out my company let everyone go early today....BONUS! instead of getting off at 5 o'clock, PLD was out the door at 2 o'clock...YEAH!!!!

so needless to say, i had a pretty eventful afternoon! now i am passing time waiting for my husband to come home!

hope you all are having a fabulous week! is it friday yet? ha! ha!

tonight my husband and i went over to our favorite seafood restaurant for dinner. we each enjoyed one of these little guys ...or girls? ha! ha!

below is a photo of braxton's seafood grill, which is located at oakbrook centre in oak brook, illinois. if you are ever in the area and looking for a place to enjoy some seafood...be sure and stop on over!

afterwards, i decided to venture around the mall. i was hoping to find a few shirts for work, but didn't have much luck!

i did end up purchasing this cute blouse from banana republic. it was on sale for $17.99.....however, it ended up ringing up at $13.90 - HELLO! i love it when i find deals! originally this blouse retailed for $59.50. i don't know about you, but when i shop i head straight for the sale section first!

i also picked up two candles at bath & body works. someone posted about this candle a couple of days ago. sorry, i can't remember who? anyway, this candle from slatkin & co - island margarita --- smells AWESOME!!!!! they are on sale right now 2 for $15, a $17 or $19 savings --- can't remember, sorry?as you can tell, i have it burning right now and it smells awesome! then again slatkin & co candles usually do!

oh well, not it's time to unwind and relax from a busy day at work....only to get up and do it all over again tomorrow! luckily, friday is around the corner! ....and that means i will be heading out of town for the weekend!

i am so looking forward to going up north to the cottage. if the weather is anything like it is outside it's going to be a fabulous weekend! looking forward to some shopping, wine tasting and visiting with family & friends!

oh well, hope you all took advantage of the sales i previously posted about --- lots of deals!

oh yea, almost forgot...any hugh jackman fans out there? well, he's filming a movie in my hometown! where might that be? grosse pointe farms, michigan.

also, a couple of weeks ago pierce brosnan was filming in grosse pointe as well! talk about a little hollywood...love it! of course, all this filming would happen when i am not around to stalk the filming - hee! hee!

i also heard rumors that miley cyrus might be filming a movie in grosse pointe sometime this summer?

then of course there was clint eastwood who filmed parts of gran torino in grosse pointe as well. i am sure there are others but those are a few that came to mind....oh besides john cusack in grosse pointe blank --- only the lake sceen was actually filmed in grosse pointe though. ha! ha!
