oh well, hope your week is going well! tonight i got a manicure and the color i chose was no spain no pain from OPI. i almost went with pink flamingo to match what is on my toes but wanted something a little darker to match my outfit for a bridal shower i have this weekend.

pink swap, barefoot contessa and more!

it's about time, i FINALLY found my camera! of course, it was in my desk which i previously searched 3 times....UGH! oh well, here is the photo i promised of the items i gave my PINK SWAP partner [peace, love applesauce]. still waiting for my package to arrive, so the excitement continues!

anyway, i bought her the items in the photo below:

what are your plans for valentines day?

personally, it's just another over-rated holiday to me. that's okay i'll roll with it! ha! ha! you know the old saying, a way to a man's heart is through his stomach. well, that's exactly what i did!

i made dinner last night. i watched ina on barefoot contessa yesterday and ended up making the filet of beef and gorgonzola sauce recipes she made on her show.

i stopped over at chicago prime meat market to pick up the filet mignon. i have to tell you, you'll pay a little more but it's so worth it compare to going to your local grocer like jewel and dominic's in chicago!

i also stopped over at whole foods for some cheese, asparagus and a few yukon organic potatoes.

i tweaked the sauce, but it still tasted great!

sorry we were so hungry by the time dinner was ready that i forgot to a photo, ops! oh well, it was AMAZING and my husband rated our meal a "10" ---yeah, kudos to the chef! ha! ha!

i also stopped over at land's end and picked up a pair of duck boots. too good of a deal to pass up... 40% off!!!!

i haven't owned a pair of these style boots in almost 10 years! i used to have a pair of SPORTOS that were a higher than the ones in the photo above. i loved them and wonder what ever happened to them? they aren't the warmest boots, but they have better traction than my UGGS!

oh before i forget, in case you missed my previous post i wanted to let you know about a new private shopping sales website! if you love one kings lane you are going to love joss & main. click here for your personal invite to joss & main.

check out the cute flask that is over at the Getränk sale over at joss & main. just think, monogrammed this would make great groomsmen gifts. i just love the plaid!!

oh well, hope you have a fabulous day! i think i'm going to catch a quick nap before going out for sushi with my husband. not sure why he wants to go out for sushi again, we just had it on friday! that's okay, i'm game! LOL!

later!!!

of course, just when i wanted to post a photo of what i gave my PINK SWAP partner [peace, love applesauce] i can't locate my camera....UGH!!!! hopefully, i will find it later today and post the photo to this post.

anyway, i bought her a pair of monogrammed 'T' silver rectangular fishhook earrings, a pink & white makeup case and a MICHEL design works greek key plates in PINK, along with 3 white soaps -- alligator, starfish and another shell [I think that's what they were?]: as you can tell from her tweet [if you don't follow me on twitter, click here.] to me that she loved everything! now if only i had a photo of the other items, darn it!finally, thank you to kappa prep for hosting another fabulous PINK SWAP! it was a lot of fun shopping PINK, the hardest part was staying within the $30 budget....LOL!
