favorite sandals, plus more photos from upnorth....

hard to believe september is here, kids are back in school and fall is right around the corner! time to start thinking about planning the next trip to florida...LOL!

you see chicago really has only two seasons --- summer and winter! with that said, it's almost time to part with my favorite sandals...my beloved jack rogers and stephen bonanno sandals! i told you i would eventually post of sandal wheel...too bad my silver pair is not pictured as i accidentally left the sandals north...ops!

my sandal collection would have grown by two had the sandals below been in my size...DARN IT! i really wanted those green and white --- aka michigan state sandals! next time i am up in petoskey, michigan maybe i will get lucky! plus, they were on sale for ONLY $68.00 -- bummer!!

then there is always "fishtown" aka leland, michigan. can't go to "fishtown" without picking up some whitefish or chubb from carlson's for dinner! YUMMY!!!
yes, it was a tad bit on the chilly side --- i think it was 62 degrees out at the time this photo was taken. brrrr!!
oh, if you ever make it up to bay harbor, harbor springs or petoskey --- be sure and check out cutlers! i love this place and make it a point to shop there every time i am in the area.

oh well, thanks for tagging along my adventures in michgan! dispite the crap you hear on the news michigan is a fabulous place to live and visit! had the weather cooperated, i would have posted more photos from my visit up north. oh well, until next summer.... LOL!

check out these adorable pairs of jack rogers....if only i wore a 7.5 or a 8! DARN IT!! both pairs on sale for ONLY $68.00 at robert frost in petoskey, michigan. if you are from michigan or familiar with michigan -- UofM and Michigan State...well, then these jack rogers have a special meaning! pretty cool huh! so bummed they were NOT in my size!!!!

on our way back from glen arbor to the cottage this morning, we stopped at a local farmer's market. check out this amazing display....
also, check out this fudge "sampling" [or grazing as i call it, LOL!] that was over at cherry republic in glen arbor. i couldn't believe they didn't have each piece sliced up into little pieces. i wonder how many slices they are going to go through today at this rate, LOL!!

it's raining in leland...ARGH! it's been rather windy up here with 35+ mph winds! great surfing weather, check out the waves along lake michigan....AMAZING!! that's okay, feels more like a fall weekend up north than anything! i am glad i picked up a sweatshirt while in harbor springs! i certainly needed it today....brrrr!!

oh well, the rain has stopped and it's time to venture around leland! have a great day and GO MICHIGAN STATE!!!
