loving my new gucci....

in case you didn't know, i have been searching for a long time for the perfect "navy blue" purse! well, i finally found it!!!!!!i bought this Gucci Vintage Web Medium Hobo in beige and navy at neiman marcus this afternoon.isn't it beautiful! i LOVE it!!!!

i saw it over at the neiman marcus on michigan avenue. i almost almost bought it on the spot, but one problem --- NO CHECKBOOK! seriously, neiman marcus who carries a checkbook anymore?!!? seriously, i know this is the case when shopping at neiman marcus, but lately it has become a huge inconvenience for me. i don't use A/E and i don't want your store C/C...LOL!!

so i went back home, got my checkbook and went over to the neiman marcus in oak brook and bought the purse!

in case you didn't know i am obsessed with NAVY BLUE!

i am so glad gucci brought the navy blue pattern back! i checked with both stores, but neither store had a matching wallet. so my louis vuitton wallet, checkbook cover and coin purse will have to do, LOL!

guess my "stay-cation" is off to a fabulous start, LOL!!

while on michigan avenue there was a little "police activity" in front of brooks brothers! sheesh, no wonder the city of chicago is in the RED...seriously, one shoplifter and 8 squad cars show up! whatever city of chicago!! seriously, what a waste of tax payers $$$$$$!!

oh well, guess what i found over at marshalls just off michigan avenue....lilly pulitzer perfume for ONLY $12.99!!!! i was so tempted to purchase a bottle, but even though i like the scents i don't like them enough to buy a bottle. still a good deal for anyone planning on shopping michigan avenue of the weekend!

i also managed to get my argo tea fix! love this place, especially their frostea! YUMMO! it's da-bomb, i order it all year long....even in the summer, even though it's a "winter" drink, ha! ha! ha!

oh well, i am in for the night. still debating if we are going to go up to lake geneva, wisconsin tomorrow or not? big plans for the weekend?

weekend recap...lot's of photos!

greetings! hope you all had a wonderful weekend! hopefully the weather wasn't too hot in your neck of the woods! luckily, after the stormy weather hit chicago saturday morning it actually cooled off nicely!

we had every intention of heading up to lake geneva, wisconsin but decided to stay in town. i am so glad we did! instead we headed over to the old town art fair.usually, my past experiences at the old town art festival have been with hanging out with friends, listening to music and drinking beer! ...oh yeah!! speaking of drinking beer -- don't forget next weekend is the sheffield garden walk & festival, so much for the garden walk it's more of a drunk fest! ha! ha! another one of my favorite chicago summertime festivals!

i saw a lovely painting i really wanted! too bad it had a $3,000+ price tag to go along with it.....i passed! sadly, so out of my budget! ha! ha!

the old town art fair is one of many that take place in chicago during the summer. i tell ya, you can't be summertime in chicago! no joke! certainly, makes up for the long dreaded winters we suffer while many of you are still basking in sunshine! ha! ha!

parking on the other hand....shockingly, after driving around for about 20 mins. we actually lucked out! we ended up parking on sedgwick, a few steps aways from stanley's and sedgwick's! i have so many great memories hanging out at those bars...back in my single days! having been married for 10 years, i don't make it out to the bar scene as must as i used too! ha! ha!

oh well, afterwards we went over to armitage and had a white frosty at argo tea! i love argo tea!

check out all the selections of tea off to the right!if are in chicago and haven't tried argo tea you are missing out! try it....i first tried it at the junior league of chicago's gazebo holiday market a few years back! i have been craving argo tea ever since! ha! ha!

across from argo tea is one of my favorite mexican restaurants....the twisted lizard! i really wanted to go over to the twisted lizard for mexican but we had a bite to eat over at the old town art fair --- darn it!

it's been ages since i have eaten at the twisted lizard!i highly recommend this eating at the twisted lizard if you are ever in chicago and craving good mexican food & margaritas! it's definitely one of my favorite places for mexican food!

instead, we had sushi which i posted about two posts ago! in all it was a fabulous day! as for today, i have spent the day cleaning, doing laundry and moving furniture around! jealous? should should be...NOT!!! ha! ha!

oh well, tomorrow it's back to work and then next weekend i will be spending a weekend with about 8 of my sorority sisters! it's going to be a blast! i can't wait! ...is it friday yet? ha! ha!
