anyway, wedding season is among us and i'm sure almost every bride out there probably has a kitchen aid standmixer on her registry, right?!?!?! i know i did!
my kitchen aid standmixer is cobalt blue along with all the other kitchen aid items i registered for back when i got married.....some 10 years ago, GULP! ha! ha!i want to know and be honest...how many of you actually use your kitchen aid standmixer? sadly, i can count on both hands the # of times i have actually used mine! ha! ha! ha!
curious, what color did you register for? looking back are you happy with your color choice or would you have registered for another color? i really like the lime green color!

okay, while at bloomingdale's i saw this all-clad griddle:
i SO want one and am definitely putting this on my "wish" list! do you or someone you know have this all-clad griddle? i would love to hear if it is worth the $299.95 price tag....seriously, why don't they just mark it $300!
you know just like when gas is $2.997/gallon --- brain washing us to think we are getting a deal when it really rounds up to $3.00 a gallon! so annoying!!
anyway, did you know godiva has a chocolate club? i signed up awhile back and every month i stop over at godiva for a FREE piece of chocolate.....my chocolate splurge for the month! best of all it is FREE! today i got a pistachio truffle....OMG can you say YUMMY! wow, this could be my new favorite godiva flavor!

you know growing up my favorite godiva flavors were the open oyster and then the scallop shell w/hazelnut - can't think of the actual name at the moment? it's been awhile since i had one! ha! ha!

oh well, originally planned on stopping at oakbrook to check out the williams-sonoma sale! i have to tell you i am NOT impressed! the deals....or shall is say what deals? williams-sonoma used to have pretty good sales but now not so much!
even the mark downs aren't even that great! i ended up buying new towels....oh boy!
the kitchen towels we marked down to $12.99 and the dish cloths marked down to $5.99!
guess the deals of "good" deals are over! ha! ha!

wow, you did some shopping today! i always wanted the kitchen aid mixer, but just never had the countertop space to devote to it, however, i do use my cuisanart electric mixer all.the.time! Funny, i remember when cobalt blue was the rage back in the day! I think i still have my cobalt blue coffee pot from williams sonoma in the basement!
So we registered for the sky blue pro kitchen aide mixer...we acutally use it a lot. :) The hubs bakes...so a few times a month I hear it roaring up something tastey!
I think I may have used ours 5 times or less which is just so very sad. It does look pretty on our counter though! :)
Such an interesting post! My mom doesn't cook at all and obviously the stand up colored mixers won't around back in the day when she was registering for wedding stuff so we don't have one. But, the one people I babysit for have a white one on their counter and I am convinced that thing has never moved or been used and I've already wondered. I will have to check back to see what others say I'm nosy! Hope you're having a fab week!
I use my kitchen aid all the time. I use it for everything from meatloaf to brownies. I love it and have had mine for 6 years now. Can't live without it!
I got the all clad griddle as a wedding gift and returned it after using it twice. NOT worth the cost- because the clean up is a pain. The griddle is not removeable (at least mine wasn't) and can not be put in the dishwasher. You are better off getting a griddle pan that you can throw right on your stove top. Good luck!
I use my mixer all the time! I love that rainbow of Kitchen-Aid mixers!
Ooops, I don't have a Kitchen Aid mixer, I believe my is by Cuisinart. I went through a Cuisinart addiction several years ago. :) I think I want one though!
I do not use it much, but it looks great! Blue!!! Finally I put it in a cupboard to declutter my counter. I have been happy every since.
