nothing like taking a brief break from shopping to sit back do a little "people watching" and enjoy a frappachino from starbucks.
after having a less than favorable breakfast over [eggs benedict] at egg harbor, we decided we were going to spend the rest of the weekend trying new places [new to us!]. i have to tell you, i was very disappointed with my barrington benedict. shocking, i know! egg harbor is normally one of my favorite breakfast places.
for lunch we ate at ryan braun's tavern & grill. 
this place rocks! we will definitely be back! great food and the decor is well....i post a few photos for you to see yourself:
for dinner we ventured over to twin lakes, wisconsin. we have friend's who have cottages there but i have never been. we ended up having dinner over at pier west, so glad we did...YUMMY! 
for dinner we had clam chowder, crab legs, mussels, clams, shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage. can't remember what this meal is called down south, but it was yummy! large enough that we shared it and still had enough food left over to feed a 3rd person! ha! ha!

afterwards, we heard about a water ski that was being held on the lake. it's called aquanuts ski show. pretty cool show! i highly recommend anyone in the lake geneva area to check out the agrunuts water show over in twin lakes. show is held on saturday and wednesday nights.

----if only i could waterski like that, LOL!finally, this morning we ate over at simple.
i have to tell you the food was simply amazing! however, i couldn't understand why we were we had a 15 min. wait when there were 9 [i counted!] tables open and at least 12 people standing, waiting to be seated? having never worked at a restaurant i could not understand for the life of me what was going on? plus, the wait time for our food was extremely long. oh well, we will definitely be back!
i ordered the eggs benedict and it was awesome, right up there with scuttlebutt's! i am undecided as to who has the best eggs benedict? scuttlebutt's or simple --- this one is a toss up!
well, that about sums up my weekend! hope you all had a great weekend!

Did you know that last I heard that the Starbucks in Lake Geneva is apparently the largest in the country.
My husband and I love a cool drink on a hot Summer day up there. We usually try to walk a bit around the lake.
I walked around it with the girls in my 8th grade class (when we were in 8th grade). All I will say is that it is long and I was much younger then.
Love Starbucks! I have a passion tea form there yesterday! Looks like a great trip!
Mmm eggs benedict. I am going on a cruise in a few weeks and its probably sad that one of the things I'm excited for is just being able to eat eggs benedict for breakfast every morning.
Heading over to Lake Delavan for a couple days and am astounded to have never heard of those first two places you ate at. I have them saved in my black berry to try and I'm so excited. Thanks for your reviews.
I ate at Simple over Fourth of July and it was really delicious. I love that they buy from local farmers, and how eclectic it's decorated inside.
Suburban Prep's comment about Starbucks makes sense. I love that, it's such an awesome Starbucks, I've never seen another like it.
